An even dozen

Yesterday was a special day in the chicken coop.  Although the temps were in the 20's and there was a wind chill on top of that, the ladies laid a dozen beautiful eggs. This is the first time we have ever found an even dozen in the coop. I believe that this is a preview of the spring to come; which means I need to get to work on the "Fresh Eggs" sign to hang by the road.

happy Tuesday!

  1. And out of mine, 3 of which are young birds, I got 2. This seems to happen everytime I go away and have someone else farmette sit.
